This role is based in Bristol.~OverviewOur client is a leading provider of specialist risk management and compliance services, operating across a diverse range of sectors including infrastructure, construction, and the built environment.With a strong reputation for innovation and integrity, they are seeking passionate individuals to join their growing team in Bristol and contribute to projects that make a meaningful impact on safety and sustainability.ResponsibilitiesPlanning and overseeing small to medium-scale projects, ensuring key milestones are met and client expectations are delivered.Organising and coordinating intrusive site investigations, environmental monitoring, and geotechnical assessments.Interpreting chemical and geotechnical testing results to assess risks and provide technical recommendations.Preparing clear, structured reports with practical recommendations for clients.Maintaining an understanding of geo-environmental and geotechnical legislation, standards, and best practices.Acting as a key point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and best practices during all site and office-based activities.Supporting junior staff, providing guidance and knowledge-sharing to aid their professional growth.RequirementsRelevant degree (Geo-Environmental, Geology, Earth Science, Civil Eng., or similar).Background in a similar role, ideally within a consultancy.Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret geotechnical and environmental data.Excellent communication and report-writing skills.Project management background, including coordinating fieldwork and liaising with clients.Flexible to travel, occasionally working outside standard hours.A full UK driving licence.On offerSalary £28,000 – £38,000Company matched pension scheme.25 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays, with option to purchase additional leave.Hybrid and flexible working opportunities.Career progression opportunities as part of a growing water team, supported by mentor schemes.Support in application for chartership.Participation in a friendly, supportive and experienced team.Involvement in exceptional and innovative projects, with recent involvement including the UK’s largest solar farm, and logistics park.Supported opportunities for volunteering and community action.Employee Assistance Programme, which includes counselling services and legal assistance.Cashback and discounts on purchases and events, from a range of brands and services including gym membership and restaurant deals.~To apply for the position of Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental Consultant, please submit your current CV (ideally in Word format).Due to high volume, we are unable to acknowledge every application.
