Nicholas Associates have an excellent opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager, to join an established & expanding manufacturing client in Lincolnshire.As the Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for forecasting product demand to optimise inventory, production, and supply chain efficiency. You will oversee a newly developing team with an aim of managing MRP purchasing, production orders, logistics, material kitting, and help to provide accurate revenue forecasting for the business. You will collaborate with other teams to ensure product availability to meet customer commitments and improve factory on time delivery. You will have proven expertise within supply chain management.Role & Responsibilities:Lead Sales, Inventory and Operations planning (SIOP) to drive alignment across all functions and deliver to customer first promise dates.Work with sales to provide forecasts to address factory capacity planning, production efficiencies, and highlight bottlenecksAnalyse forecast trends, customer behaviours, and supplier performance to refine planning strategies.Monitor forecast accuracy and identify root causes for deviations, driving corrective actions to improve future delivery performance.Develop an effective Supply Chain function to address MRP buying, receipt and control of stock, planning of sub-assemblies, kitting, production order management, and allocation and backflushing of finished product.Work closely with document control and quality assurance to align Supply Chain systems and processes.Help to manage cashflow in the business through optimising logistics and ensuring triggers for invoicing.Develop and manage the overall demand plan for the on-time delivery of multiple product lines or a major business segment.Help to develop a strong supply chain team, overseeing day-to-day activities and professional development.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, procurement, manufacturing and engineering, to gather input and validate demand forecasts.Act as a key liaison between customer-facing functions (sales) and the site delivery team.Optimise management of customer owned stock and help manage any demand risks.Improve factory profitability by helping to align operations with future demand.Provide reports on demand performance and supply chain metrics.Best utilise SAP ERP and other planning systems and analytical tools, while also identifying process improvements.Required Qualifications & Skills:Experience of supply chain management & demand planning in a niche electronic manufacturing environment would be helpful, along with familiarity of the challenges of establishing a new planning function in an SME.Proficiency in forecasting, SAP ERP, data analysis, and used of Microsoft Excel and Teams.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving, decision-making, leadership, and strategic thinking abilities.Company Benefits:Salary sacrifice-led pension plan that matches employee contributions up to 7%.Employee Stock Purchase Plan.Free life assurance cover at the value of four times basic annual salary.Holiday purchase scheme which enables employees to purchase an additional week's worth of annual leave each year.Internal reward and recognition scheme linked to internal benefits platform.Employee Assistance Programme.Comprehensive wellbeing programme that supports employees with their physical, mental and financial health, as well as their cultural/environmental wellbeing.Competitive employee discounts platform that provides employees with discounts with leading brands/retailers.Cycle to Work scheme.Enhanced family-friendly benefits and policies.Company sick pay.Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee that supports and champions employee diversity.About UsWe are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
