OverviewData Migration Analyst (Fixed Term) at University of Cambridge. This role supports ERP implementation and data migration from source systems to the cloud, ensuring accurate and complete transfer of data. The successful candidate will help consolidate data from multiple legacy systems into the new ERP’s unified database, involving mapping, transforming, and standardizing data.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and perform data validation checks and reconciliations within strict timelines; troubleshoot issues promptly.Support data mapping, transformation, and validation of data from legacy systems.Perform source system data analysis to manage source-to-target data mapping.Develop SQL/PL-SQL scripts and automated ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) to ensure data quality and integrity throughout the migration.Your Skills / QualificationsExperience (8+ years) working in ERP implementation projects, at least one end-to-end.Experience in data analysis and data quality with proficiency in SQL or PL/SQL; comfortable writing and reading SQL queries to compare/validate datasets.Knowledge of data analytical tools like Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel, etc.Strong understanding of data structures, relational databases, data object relationships and validation methods.Ability to translate functional requirements into actionable technical insights.Understanding of core business entities such as COA, GL accounts, vendors/customers, projects, etc.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail; ability to identify and proactively manage risks, issues and problems.Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.Benefits41 days annual leave, inclusive of Bank HolidaysDefined benefits pension schemesFlexible working optionsFamily-friendly initiativesCareer development opportunitiesSupport for health and mental wellbeingTax-efficient bicycle and charity-giving schemesLocation & TermsThe University offers hybrid working; some work on university premises and some remote.
