Maintenance Engineering Apprentice – Level 3 Mechatronics – Nottingham / London Join to apply for the Maintenance Engineering Apprentice – Level 3 Mechatronics – Nottingham / London role at E.ON UK. Overview We're looking for a Maintenance Engineering Apprentice to join our team as part of our UK Solutions business. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while earning a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician qualification. Responsibilities Conduct planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime. Perform mechanical repairs, including welding and fabrication. Diagnose faults using electrical drawings and testing equipment. Support continuous improvement projects to enhance performance and efficiency. Work safely in an industrial environment with strict adherence to PPE requirements. Qualifications & Skills Qualifications required: 5 GCSEs, including English Language and Maths (Grade C/4 or above). Successful completion of assessments at the AMRC Training Centre and our internal recruitment process. Skills and qualities: Attention to detail and a focus on safety. Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions. Keen eye for precision work. Enthusiastic, curious, and eager to learn. Technically minded with good hand skills and patience to master new techniques. Team‑oriented with confidence to work independently when required. Training and Development First year: full‑time training at the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre, returning to the workplace once a Friday per month. After initial block: one day per week at the AMRC Training Centre for knowledge‑based training, remaining four days on‑site learning. Apprentice will be based in London or Nottingham after completion of initial study block. Compensation and Benefits Starting salary: £15,847 (subject to academic and placement performance). Additional benefits include a generous pension scheme, 26 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, flexible benefits with tax and/or NI savings, and more.
