Lead Electrical And Instrumentation Technician

Company Our client is a well-established company in the process sector. Due to sustained growth, they are now recruiting for a Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Technician. Role You will be responsible for supervising and performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment. This role ensures that plant electrical and instrumentation systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will also mentor Technicians and coordinate daily activities to support production and maintenance goals. Oversee and support a team of Technicians in executing electrical and instrumentation work safely and effectively across all plant systems. Perform assembly, installation, maintenance, testing and disassembly of electrical/control equipment including motors, drives, switchgear, sensors, transmitters and control valves, panels. Supervise and carry out preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure continuous system reliability and performance. Diagnose electrical and instrumentation faults and identify root causes. Safely remove, replace or repair faulty components. Person You will ideally be time served and have experience in a similar role. An individual would be expected to have core trade qualifications as a minimum requirement. Ideally hold a valid CompEx Inspection certificate and Electricity at Work Regulations. Will have experience with Permit to Work system. Relay protection training. LV/HV switching and isolating procedures training. HV Authorisation.
