Senior Associate Consultant - London Cambridge Healthcare Research (CHR) invites applications for a Senior Associate Consultant in our Solici consulting arm, focused on competitive intelligence in the pharmaceutical industry. CHR, established in 2013, employs over 120 staff and is dedicated to providing critical insights that drive healthcare decisions across the globe. About the role As a Senior Associate Consultant you will work within integrated project teams that span research, analysis, consulting, and client leadership. You will operate autonomously, model superior consulting behaviors for Associates, and deepen your expertise in competitive intelligence to help clients better understand their competitive environment and achieve strategic outcomes. Key responsibilities Research planning – Partner with consulting and research colleagues to design robust research plans and deliverables that maximize client satisfaction. Briefing researchers – Provide clear, constructive briefings and feedback to research teams to ensure high‑quality primary and secondary research outputs. Client‑ready output – Translate research findings into concise, readable slide decks and email summaries that highlight actionable insights. Project and client interaction – Coordinate agendas, take minutes, and engage in internal and external meetings with stakeholders. Conference coverage – Attend UK and overseas conferences, deliver intelligence coverage, engage key opinion leaders, and produce daily client‑ready summaries. Workshop support – Develop workshop materials, assist facilitators on‑day, and transcribe discussions. Commercial awareness – Understand project scoping, profitability, and market trends to shape deliverables and propose future business opportunities. Business development – Research and contribute to proposal materials, represent CHR at external events, and publish thought pieces. Quality control – Peer‑review work, coach colleagues, and coordinate efforts to maintain the highest output quality. Continuous improvement – Leverage past project experience to propose more effective ways of working that support CHR’s strategy and culture. Qualifications and skills Degree‑level qualifications in life sciences or related fields. 18–24 months of experience in competitive intelligence or consulting. Planning, organising, and prioritisation skills with a focus on milestones. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency. Primary and secondary research skills, including data source identification. Analytical skills to convert research into client‑friendly outputs. Strong written and verbal communication, with a clear, logical narrative. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Collaborative, solution‑focused attitude and critical thinking. Growth mindset and openness to feedback. Inclusive, empathetic stance that supports team success. Proactiveness, initiative, and anticipatory project management. Understanding of therapeutic areas and data‑source research. Alignment with CHR’s values and culture. Flexibility and willingness to travel for conferences in the UK and overseas.
