This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them develop strong analytical skills, confidence in communication, and a genuine love of literature and language. Role Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum. Teach across KS3 and KS4, covering a wide range of literary genres, writing styles, and language skills. Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, discussion, and critical thinking. Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those requiring additional support. Monitor, assess, and provide meaningful feedback to support pupil progress and attainment. Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations, ensuring they feel confident and well prepared. Contribute to curriculum planning, resource development, and the ongoing improvement of the English department. Support extracurricular and enrichment activities such as reading clubs, creative writing groups, or theatre trips where appropriate. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching English at KS3-KS4. Strong subject knowledge and the ability to bring texts, themes, and language concepts to life. Excellent classroom management, communication skills, and a commitment to raising standards.
