Hospice in the Weald is looking for an exceptional clinical professional to join our team as a Clinical Practice EducatorAbout the Role (Job summary)The post holder will be responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of high-quality, patient-centred clinical education and training within the hospice environment.This includes leading the implementation of robust competency frameworks to support professional development and ensure excellence in palliative care.The post holder will provide mentorship and guidance to a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and reflective practice.Acting as a role model, the post holder will confidently challenge assumptions, promote evidence-based approaches, and disseminate best practice across the organisation.The post holder will be the IPC Link Practitioner for the HospiceMain duties of the jobClinical Education:Develop and deliver engaging, patient-centred clinical education programmes.Lead the implementation of competency frameworks to support professional development.Conduct training needs analysis in collaboration with the Governance Team and Learning & Development Manager.Mentor and guide staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and reflective practice.Promote evidence-based approaches and disseminate best practice across the organisation.Infection Prevention & Control:Oversee the IPC programme across all hospice sites.Provide specialist input in infection identification, prevention, and control.Lead and support a network of IPC Champions, facilitating training and updates.Monitor infection control practices, conduct audits, and contribute to improvement plans.Act as a key point of contact for IPC queries and support management in clinical decision-making.Monitor staff compliance with IPC policies and initiate actions to uphold standards.About usHospice in the Weald provides care completely free of charge to patients with a terminal illness, and those important to them, in West Kent and northern East Sussex. We want to ensure that anyone affected by a terminal illness; not just patients, but also those important to them, can access the support they need when they need it.
