We are one of the UK’s most successful Tier 1 contractors. About the Role You will be working within our North East & Cumbria business. Your key responsibilities include: Contribute to achieving the appropriate commercial result through accurate financial reporting. Manage subcontractor supplier accounts, financially and contractually, to secure full entitlements under the contract. Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, providing high‑quality customer service and on‑site delivery. Identify, secure, and deliver the business forecast for turnover and margin; place subcontract orders in accordance with the main contract and ensure timely payments. Monitor subcontractor progress against the programme. Obtain competitive quotes by understanding market trends; assist in cost‑value reconciliation reports and forecast cash recovery. Ensure applications for payment and invoices are completed and submitted within terms and cash targets. Maintain compliance with all contractual requirements and monitor internal expenditure against the budget. Seek opportunities to deliver value and minimise costs in line with Morgan Sindall values. Operate the contract management systems to provide necessary information. Deliver exceptional customer service and aim for perfect delivery on all projects. Support and coach team members on commercial and contractual awareness. Liaise with customers and third parties on commercial issues, including variations, claims and additional payments. Complete the financial closure of projects, ensuring all costs are allocated correctly and in accordance with the financial timetable. What Are We Looking For We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with: A strong understanding of construction techniques and a BSc or HND (or equivalent). RICS membership or equivalent professional recognition. Experience collating and producing site records for interim and final account payments. Knowledge of period cost reporting and relevant systems and software. Strong analytical and financial management skills. What can we offer you?
