Mechanical Engineer Location: Saffron Walden, Essex Salary: £45,000 Hours: Monday to Friday A leading pharmaceutical manufacturer is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their on-site engineering team in Saffron Walden. This is a great opportunity to work within a clean, regulated environment, supporting critical production and facility systems in a modern, well-equipped plant. Key Responsibilities Carry out mechanical maintenance, servicing, and repair of plant and equipment Support planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown response Work on pumps, valves, compressors, pipework, HVAC and general building services systems Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with GMP and site standards Support reliability and efficiency improvements across the site Liaise with contractors and suppliers where required Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Skills & Experience Required Recognised mechanical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / HNC) Proven experience within a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or process environment Strong understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance procedures Knowledge of GMP, health & safety, and compliance (advantageous) Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned areas What's on Offer Salary up to £45,000 per annum Monday to Friday Opportunity to work within a highly regulated, professional pharmaceutical environment Training and career development within a growing business #J-18808-Ljbffr
