Location: Basingstoke, HampshireContract Type: Full Time, OngoingStart Date: ASAPAgency: Teaching PersonnelAbout the RoleTeaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to join our team, supporting children across primary and secondary schools in the Basingstoke area. This is a full-time position, ideal for an experienced therapist looking to make a real difference in pupils’ communication, language, and learning outcomes.You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to assess, plan, and deliver high-quality speech and language therapy interventions tailored to individual needs.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct speech, language, and communication assessments for pupils with a range of needs (e.g., ASD, SLCN, developmental delays).Develop and deliver tailored therapy programmes, both one-to-one and in small groups.Provide advice, resources, and training to teaching staff to support pupils’ communication development in the classroom.Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and reports.Liaise effectively with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.RequirementsQualified Speech and Language Therapist (HCPC registration or equivalent).Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable).Excellent communication and organisational skills.Passionate about helping pupils achieve their full potential.Ability to work collaboratively within a school environment.Why Join Teaching Personnel?Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement.Access to a wide network of schools and professional development opportunities.Flexible contracts and competitive pay.Opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of children and young people.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
