Health Care Assistant – Maternity Join to apply for the Health Care Assistant – Maternity role at NHS Ayrshire & Arran. Job Summary To provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to clinical & non‑clinical staff to ensure the smooth running of the service. Responsibilities Administrative and clerical support to clinical & non‑clinical staff. Qualifications Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer/work experience in a health, education, or social care environment. Undertake on‑the‑job training and induction. Undertake mandatory Health Care Support Worker Standards. Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment. Working knowledge of basic information technology. Preferred SVQ II in health care or working towards, or equivalent experience working in a caring environment/role. Further education/evidence of CPD in area of work including study days and courses. Commitment to ongoing personal development, as identified personally or due to the demands of the services. Contract Type Permanent – Full time or Part Time. Various hours. For part time, salary is pro‑rata. Location This role will be based in Ward 21, Ward 22 & DAU within University Hospital Wishaw.
