Quantitative Equity Research Analyst

Top tier asset manager are looking to add an analyst to their Quantitative Equity Investment teamThis is a newly created position due to significant inflows into their Global Equity strategies. This role will focus on providing quantitative based research which will have significant input into the investment process.The main responsibilities include:Developing bespoke quantitative equity screens and models for Portfolio ManagersActive involvement into the fundamental researchContributing to new investment ideas for the Global Equity team’s Alpha model and presenting recommendations to investment teamDetermining the efficacy of various signals via collation of data, writing code to look for the events of interest, and analysis of the stock performance post the eventWorking alongside Portfolio Managers to establish potential further direction for analysisManagement of equity stock screens based on Portfolio Managers requestsThe successful candidate will have:1-2 years’ experience within a quantitative capacity in a financial services environmentGraduate degree in a quantitative/analytical subject; working towards professional qualification such as CFA would be preferableKnowledge of equity marketsPositive and proactive attitudeMason Blake acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
