Veterinary Surgeon - Weekend Out of Hours Join to apply for the Veterinary Surgeon - Weekend Out of Hours role at Vet Record Careers. Exciting, part‑time role available at our main hospital site providing out of hours services over weekends and bank holidays. New Priory Vets is based within our flagship hospital in central Brighton, and the rota for this position will include 30 hours over 3 days per week, predominately working weekends and bank holidays but with hours available Mon‑Fri on weeks that don’t include a bank holiday. The clinic provides a comprehensive range of general practice veterinary services including medicine, surgery, radiography, CT, ultrasound and dentistry along with the support of nursing clinics—all bolstered by excellent hospital facilities. Patients can also benefit from the on‑site support of Brighton Veterinary Referrals if additional expertise is required. You will consult and care for inpatients alongside our ECC vet, providing out of hours services to local clinics. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with some years of experience and who works well as part of our team. ECC certificate is preferred. Emergency care is delivered by our team of dedicated out‑of‑hours emergency care vets and nurses operating from our state‑of‑the‑art flagship Brighton hospital. This highly experienced and reliable team provides continuity of care from day through to night, delivering seamless, excellent care, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a 5 minute walk from the train station and a 20 minute walk into central Brighton. We are looking for a vet who is confident with ECC and you must be eligible to be registered with the RCVS, preferred 3+yrs qualified and it is essential that you have excellent communication skills. Working Hours and Salary Part‑time: 30 hours over 3 days per week, mostly weekends and bank holidays but occasional weekday hours. Competitive base salary. Additional benefits listed below.
