Veterinary Care Assistant – Ilford We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our friendly team at Ilford Vets for Pets. Our practice is bright, spacious, and air‑conditioned, purpose‑built to industry‑leading standards, and equipped with state‑of‑the‑art facilities, including a digital X‑ray and a fully equipped in‑house laboratory, allowing us to deliver the very best care to our patients. As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our team and ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of the practice. Your responsibilities include: Assisting clinical staff Maintaining a clean and safe environment Helping to provide the highest standards of patient and client care Being the friendly and welcoming face for clients and their pets when they arrive at the practice Providing guidance by keeping fully up‑to‑speed with practice services and any additional services available Remaining calm, attentive, and focused on client needs Bringing enthusiasm and drive to your role Handling all situations, from comforting clients who receive bad news about their pet to sharing in the joy of a new puppy’s first visit to the vet Creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the practice with your infectious personality This is a perfect opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for animal care who is keen to develop their career within the veterinary profession, particularly if you are looking to progress into a Student Veterinary Nurse role in the future.
