OverviewJoin CCS & Help Shape the Future of Renewable EnergyTo strategically lead the organisations approach to Quality and Environmental compliance by developing, embedding, and continuously improving a central Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. The postholder will take ownership of company-wide accreditations and certifications, ensuring continued compliance and audit readiness. They will lead on internal auditing, nonconformance and corrective action management, and continuous improvement initiatives, while working closely with operational teams and compliance colleagues to drive consistent quality standards.This role is suited to someone with strong experience of ISO frameworks and QMS governance, ideally within retrofit, construction, or building services. Experience with PAS 2030/MCS is desirable but not essential.ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic oversight of company accreditations and certifications, including ISO 9001/14001 and other relevant statutory or voluntary schemes.Own and manage the central QMS, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and provides a consistent framework for quality and compliance across all operations.Act as the companys subject matter expert for ISO standards, driving audit-readiness, continual improvement, and scheme compliance.Lead the annual programme of internal audits, surveillance visits, and external inspections, ensuring findings are resolved through structured action plans.Develop and embed processes for identifying, reporting, and addressing nonconformances, corrective actions, and opportunities for improvement.Partner with operational teams and compliance colleagues to embed ISO principles into day-to-day activities.Liaise with certification bodies, auditors, and external stakeholders to maintain compliance and strong relationships.Review, develop, and implement company policies and procedures to remain aligned with ISO standards, legislation, and best practice.Establish and manage document control systems to ensure QMS documentation is accurate, accessible, and regularly updated.Chair internal Quality and Compliance working groups, contributing to senior leadership discussions on risk, performance, and strategy.Lead the organisations environmental compliance and improvement agenda, including ISO 14001, GHG reporting, SECR compliance, and Net Zero commitments.Support ongoing data protection practices as Data Protection Officer (DPO), ensuring GDPR compliance across departments.Provide leadership and coaching to compliance professionals, embedding a strong culture of accountability and quality assurance.Skills/QualificationsProven experience in maintaining and managing ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 certification.Strong knowledge of QMS principles: internal auditing, nonconformance management, corrective action, risk-based thinking, and continuous improvement.Internal or Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001.Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and govern QMS across multi-site or multi-service businesses.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leadership.Ability to work strategically to drive improvement and ensure audit-readiness.Experience RequiredSubstantial experience in quality, compliance or accreditation management, ideally within a similar industry.Experience managing or coordinating PAS 2030 and MCS compliance programmes at a strategic level.Demonstrated success in leading external audit preparation and supporting business functions through inspections or surveillance visits.Familiarity with schemes and regulatory frameworksLeadership experience managing cross-functional teams or compliance professionals.DesirableExperience of PAS 2030, MCS, TrustMark or similar schemes.Environmental qualification such as IEMA Foundation Certificate, IOSH Managing Environmental Responsibilities, or equivalent background in retrofit, construction, or energy efficiency sectors.Personal AttributesYou pride yourself on truth and share knowledge for the greater good.You are committed to improvement and are an active team participant.You accept responsibility for your role and promote ownership in others.You have a desire to be successful and achieve goals, whether small or large.You are flexible to meet business needs and actively work towards expanding your knowledge and developing your skills.About UsEstablished in 2007, CCS has been providing high-quality boiler installation services to social housing customers.
