OverviewHDI Global SE is a Corporate & Specialty Insurer, part of the Talanx Group. This role supports a EUR 650 million Commercial lines portfolio across Liability, Property, Motor, Engineering, Marine and Cyber, offering pricing tool development, case pricing and portfolio management.Role: Corporate Pricing Manager in the UK & Ireland region.ResponsibilitiesSupport and improve Corporate Pricing models: Collaborate with Underwriting to ensure pricing models are used effectively, provide actionable insights to the home office, drive continuous improvement in pricing tools, and maintain data quality and model accuracy for optimal underwriting decisions.Implement the Large Account Pricing process in the UK Branch: Lead and coordinate Large Account Pricing within the UK, tailoring pricing approaches for large clients; work with underwriting, home office and senior management to ensure efficient, consistent implementation aligned with the HDI Global Pricing Framework.Develop portfolio level MI for the UK Branch: Design and implement portfolio-level management information, providing insights into performance, trends and profitability; ensure underlying data is accurate and aligned with reporting across the business.Support Finance Team with Strategic Projects: Collaborate with the wider Finance team on projects such as Financial Planning, Reserving and Actuarial Systems, in alignment with strategy and business plans.Key accountabilities – ActuarialEnsure proper use and understanding of Corporate pricing models in the UK branch.Build and maintain local pricing models with TAS-compliant documentation and review.Support development of global pricing models in line with home office requirements; provide recommendations for local pricing adjustments to keep tools fit for the local market.Carry out Large Account Pricing with complete coverage of the nomination list and timely feedback to Underwriting and TAS-compliant documentation.Develop performance monitoring of the UK & Ireland Corporate portfolio, tracking loss ratios, profitability and emerging trends.Drive the ongoing development and refinement of technical pricing methodologies in line with market conditions and Home Office priorities.Maintain understanding of the Company’s profitability requirements to ensure alignment in technical pricing.Work closely with Underwriting teams to understand portfolios, suggest strategic improvements and address pricing requirements.Provide general ad hoc support for Underwriters.Leadership and Team PerformanceEvaluate and monitor team structure and roles to ensure they meet function goals.Support Actuarial leadership to foster a high-performing, continually improving team.Oversee team development by providing opportunities, training and experience to expand knowledge and skills.Identify skills gaps and training requirements of the function.Ensure the function maintains an excellent standard of performance.Build strong relationships within the business to facilitate effective commercial underwriting decisions.Relationship ManagementBuild collaborative relationships within the business to enable effective underwriting decisions.Represent the company externally at client and broker meetings.Design, implement and maintain process controls to ensure output quality and up-to-date, accessible documentation.CommunicationCommunicate technical assumptions and pricing techniques to non-technical audiences, internally and externally.Ensure audiences understand risks and limitations of analyses used to inform decisions.ReportingDesign, develop and analyse reports to monitor each line of business.Identify and address reporting issues in line with group/branch requirements, explaining benefits of changes.Process ImprovementIdentify and implement improvements to pricing processes to encourage proper use by Underwriting and high-quality data outputs.Maintain process controls to ensure output quality within the Corporate Pricing function.Compliance and ConductMaintain understanding of and comply with all relevant FCA / PRA / Company regulatory requirements and other applicable regulations.Skills & ExperienceExperience of General Insurance Pricing and Reserving, ideally London Market.IFoA qualified or equivalent experience.Experience managing technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong Microsoft Excel and VBA skills.Experience with data manipulation and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, PowerBI).Experience with actuarial analysis software (e.g., ResQ, GLM software) preferred.As an equal opportunities employer, we are committed to an inclusive environment for all employees, recognising that a diverse and inclusive workplace is a creative and prosperous one.If you require support with your application, please contact UK&IRE_Recruitment@hdi.globalJob DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: General BusinessIndustries: InsuranceNote: This refined description focuses on the Corporate Pricing Manager role and removes duplicate postings and unrelated content. #J-18808-Ljbffr
