Job SummaryThe Agile Research Delivery Team (ARDT) is looking for an experienced Clinical Trials Assistant to move into an Assistant Clinical Research Practitioner (ACRP) role. The position is based in Leeds City Centre and supports remote and in‑person research across West Yorkshire.Roles include supporting study delivery (screening, recruitment, consent, data management, sample collection), administrative tasks, and liaising with research teams and participants.ResponsibilitiesSupport all aspects of study delivery: screening, recruitment, consent, follow‑ups, data management, sample collection and processing across all specialties and settings.Provide general administrative support to trial portfolios: filing, typing, fielding telephone calls, ordering patient notes, retrieving test results via hospital/primary care IT systems.Assist Agile Research Delivery Team members with general administration related to study delivery tasks, data management, and staff recruitment/development processes.Utilise NIHR Hub (Google Apps) and other information systems (e.g., spreadsheets) as required.Contribute to administrative oversight of the regional Local Portfolio Management System (LMPS). Support effective communication of complex study information with research personnel and participants.Support CRPs, nurses, and allied health professionals in performing and recording participant assessments and physiological measurements (e.g., venepuncture, blood pressure, urinalysis, weight and height).Identify and report serious adverse events or incidents in line with regulatory and trust requirements.Maintain accurate research records and results using appropriate manual and computerized systems.Provide timely information to reflect patient recruitment for the Local Project Management Systems (LPMS).Support the research teams in preparing trial documentation for monitoring visits.Ensure appointment scheduling and participant follow‑up aligns with protocol requirements.Facilitate the sending of pathological samples and radiological films for central review.Qualifications & ExperienceEducated to A level or equivalent; NVQ3/foundation degree in a healthcare related subject or working towards.Knowledge of governance and legislative framework for clinical research (ICH Good Clinical Practice).Experience of clinical trial set‑up and life‑cycle management in a health or care setting.Demonstrable experience in data management/administration, preferably in a health or care setting.Computer literacy with use of web applications, Microsoft Office and/or Google Hub applications.Understanding of confidentiality issues.Skills & BehavioursIndependent, with minimal supervision.Strong planning, organisational and interpersonal communication skills.Willingness to undertake professional development.Ability to travel for work.Current driving licence (desirable).DesirableExperience of participant care in research studies.Knowledge of case note tracking and patient administrative systems.Phlebotomy experience.Completed or working towards a Care Certificate.Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThe post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and requires Disclosure and Barring Service (CRB) checks. #J-18808-Ljbffr
