Senior Education Recruitment Consultant – Primary Desk Salary: Up to £45,000 basic (DOE) + industry-leading commission (up to 25%, No Threshold) Location: Cardiff / Newport (Hybrid – autonomy given from day one) Type: Full-time, permanent Are you an experienced Education Recruitment Consultant ready to step into a warm, high-performing primary desk? This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of an established desk, earning excellent money from day one, with the autonomy, flexibility and support to scale it further. The Opportunity You’ll be joining a high-performing regional team and immediately inherit a strong primary desk covering Cardiff and Newport. You will enjoy: A warm desk worth £5-6k/week from day one No threshold and commission up to 25% The freedom to run your desk like your own business Hybrid working and a flexible working culture A business that values trust, autonomy and transparency What You’ll Be Doing Managing and growing a warm primary desk across Cardiff and Newport Recruiting, interviewing and placing high-quality primary candidates Building strong school relationships and developing new business Taking full ownership for running a well-structured, high-performing desk Maintaining excellent compliance and safeguarding standards What We’re Looking For We want someone who has genuinely built their own desk in education recruitment, ideally within the primary market in South Wales. You will thrive here if you can operate independently, deliver consistently, and understand how to drive both candidate and client growth. You must be: Someone who recruits candidates - not just services accounts Confident running your desk with autonomy Strong on mark‑ups and commercially minded Ambitious, driven, and motivated by building something long‑term Salary & Commission Up to £45,000 basic, depending on experience 15%–25% commission, with accelerated bonus scheme No threshold Warm desk guaranteed from day one Reduced hours in school holidays (9:00-14:00) 35 days annual leave + bank holidays Supportive, non-micromanaged environment Clear career progression pathway Autonomy to run your desk your way Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Staffing and Recruiting #J-18808-Ljbffr
