Our client is a well-respected water treatment company who offer outstanding water treatment services to a varied client base. They are now recruiting for a versatile and committed Water Treatment Engineer based in and around the Woking area. The successful applicant will have hands on experience delivering water treatment duties to a mixed portfolio of sites/contracts as well as experience working with cooling towers, steam boilers and closed systems. Consideration will be given to applications from Guilford, Farnborough, Aldershot, Reigate and the surrounding areas. Essential Experience & Qualifications: The applicant must come from a good chemical, technical and water hygiene/water treatment background. Will have vast and varied experience working within this role and within the water treatment/water hygiene industry. Must have valid and varied experience on cooling towers, water softeners, sampling, dosing, test kits, commissioning and chlorine dioxide systems. Be fully conversant with the water treatment industry and legislation. Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Have good client-fac­ing and organisational skills. Key Responsibilities: Chemical Analysis on Cooling Towers and Closed, Cooling, Commissioning and Chlorine Systems. Working on prestigious sites/buildings – on-site analysis and maintenance and will include the following: Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems, boilers and cooling towers. Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling. Undertaking in-depth analysis of water systems including closed systems and interpreting results. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment as and when required. Completing worksheets for work carried out appropriately. Building and maintaining a good working rapport with clients. Attributes: In general, the successful post-holder will have good work ethic and will demonstrate the ability to carry out work effectively and within the given time scale.
