Job Title: SEN Teacher Area: Chatham, Kent Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Long Term Salary: Competitive, based on experience Working hours: Monday - Friday, Full-Time Brief description: Outstanding special school seeks an SEN Teacher to deliver tailored learning for pupils with complex learning needs. About the school: A highly regarded academy for ages 4-19, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex learning disabilities. The school offers a caring, inclusive environment with personalised pathways, vocational options, and a strong focus on independence and life skills. About the role: You will lead a class team to plan and deliver differentiated lessons across EYFS to Post-16, integrating communication strategies and therapy advice. The role includes supporting academic, vocational, and life-skills learning, ensuring progress against EHCP targets. We're looking for a dedicated candidate to: Create engaging, personalised learning plans Foster positive behaviour and communication using structured approaches Collaborate with therapists, support staff, and families Assess and track progress effectively Requirements: The ideal candidate would have: QTS/QTLS with proven SEN teaching experience Knowledge of AAC, sensory integration, and structured teaching approaches Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Enhanced DBS on the Update Service Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
