Production Performance Engineer Freightliner Heavy Haul Ltd Location: Leeds Who are we looking for? Freightliner Heavy Haul Ltd is looking for a Production Performance Engineer to join the team at Leeds VMF to help monitor and drive quality maintenance practices, carry out technical investigations, lead modification roll‑outs and develop initiatives to improve the reliability of our locomotive fleets. The successful candidate will report to the Production Performance Manager whose team is responsible for quality and remote condition monitoring. On your first day, we’ll expect you to have: Commitment to developing safe working practices. In‑depth knowledge and experience of locomotive or train maintenance. Experience in a Condition‑Based Maintenance and/or a Reliability‑Centred Maintenance environment. Ability to drive Continuous Improvement to ensure we achieve our targets and standardise our processes across our depots. What Your Main Areas Of Responsibilities Will Be Being a safety influencer by ensuring you and your team work safely at all times whilst always looking for opportunities to do things safer and more efficiently. Support the Production Performance Manager in analysing RCM system data to develop and enhance a condition‑based maintenance approach across the fleet. Provide expert support to staff performing maintenance and repairs on company assets, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards. Conduct investigations into incidents, failures, and defects, producing detailed reports for the T&RS team as required. Develop fault‑finding guides for Maintenance and Operations staff (including Drivers) to help reduce locomotive downtime. Influence reliability improvements by analysing RCM data trends and collaborating with the Engineering function. Our Perks And Benefits Our people are our most important asset.
