PE Global is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Technician for a leading multi-national oilfield services company and a leader in digital solutions for subsurface and surface engineering, based in Barrow in Furness.This is an initial 6 months contract position working on site in Barrow in Furness.ResponsibilitiesPerform technical duties on functional work group projects.Employ test techniques and procedures for key cell projects.Use job packets, routings, work orders, wire lists, quality travellers and bills of material.Maintain production tools and equipment.Perform troubleshooting to diagnose product, process, or program defects and repair them.Ensure ability to read blueprints; identify components; perform wire preparation, stripping and crimping; perform harness repair and termination; use pertinent manual hand tools.Maintain skills in electronics, hydraulics and mechanical assemblies, automated machine operation and programming.Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.Education / ExperienceTechnology or Manufacturing experienceProduction WorkflowTechnical Investigation SupportProduction Test experienceProduction Assembly experienceInterested candidates should submit an updated CV.Please click the link below to apply, alternatively send an up to date CV to (url removed).***Please note our client cannot assist with any visa sponsorship and candidates must have the correct visa to live and work in UK***Although it is not possible for us to respond to all applications, we at PE Global will do our upmost to give you feedback on your application.
