The Opportunity

The company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with at least 3 to 4 years of experience in building services consultancy. This role offers the chance to join a supportive and technically strong team with direct input from highly experienced Chartered engineers and senior leadership. You will work on a diverse range of projects with opportunities to expand your skills and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Design mechanical building services systems including HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation and public health
Produce technical drawings, specifications and engineering calculations
Work with common industry design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, IES or similar tools
Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors and internal engineering teams
Attend site surveys, inspections and project meetings
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, legislation and industry best practice
Contribute to project delivery from early concept stages to completion

About You

Minimum 3 to 4 years’ experience in mechanical building services design
Degree or HNC or HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, IES or similar packages
Strong understanding of UK building regulations and design standards
Good communication skills and a proactive, organised approach
Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
Keen to develop professionally and take on increasing responsibility
