Job Description:Role Description
- This is an exciting time to join the Transformation Programme, we're writing the next chapter, which will revolutionise how we do business in the future. The expectation of the business is high, and this will be a busy role, however, this is a great opportunity to showcase your expertise, you'll be working with experts in their fields, liaising with stakeholders in the UK and globally.
- In line with our Global strategy and purpose, we have an exciting opportunity to join the eTMO (Enterprise Management Transformation Office) as a Planning Lead.
- The role can be based anywhere in the UK, however, there is likely to be a requirement to work from the Guildford office approximately for 1-2 days per week at least 6-8 days per month, and also a requirement to travel to other UK offices to attend meetings when required.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £65,000 per year.
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
- You will drive the Planning Ways of Working across an existing Portfolio of Major Programmes (mainly Waterfall) and the rest of the UK Portfolio (mainly Agile).
- Use the existing tool set to enable visibility and management of the UK Enterprise Portfolio.
- Maintaining the UK Transformation Integrated Programme Plan, including all UK workstreams and alignment with Global plans and external partners where necessary.
- Working with stakeholders to support project scheduling and ensure adherence to their workstream plans, which will feed into the Integrated Programme Plan.
- Tracking deliveries across the various Programme workstreams to identify and communicate impacts of plan changes on the critical delivery path. This includes identifying and communicating both financial and resourcing impacts that deviate from the original plan.
- Leveraging information to monitor progress against plan and identify risks or issues, working with stakeholders to ensure mitigating actions are in place.
- Identifying, managing and tracking programme-wide dependencies, assumptions and plan risks, ensuring proactive mitigation, and escalating as required with path to green plans.
- Assisting in communicating planning strategies and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Managing a plan to meet the various tracking and reporting needs, as well as ensuring the format of the plan is appropriate for the broad variety of stakeholders (e.g. Steering Committees, Board Papers).
- Supporting the benefits realisation plan aligned to core delivery plan timelines.
- Working closely with the rest of the eTMO team to deliver collective outcomes and ensure plan priorities are clearly articulated and well understood by all.
- Experienced in use of Jira and Confluence / other PPM systems / SharePoint / Microsoft BI.
- Project Management technical skills including organisation, governance, estimation, planning, scheduling, tracking, resource management, reporting and risk/issue management.
- Proficient in change management skills including communications and ability to effectively manage stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Project Management & Office tools such as MS Office Suite, MS Project and MS Excel.
Experience:
- Planning experience in large scale Transformation Programmes / Portfolios.
- Planning across long term horizons and across multi-geographical teams.
- Experience of challenging stakeholders in event of plan deviation.
Qualifications:
- Professionally qualified within Project Management.
- Professionally qualified in Project, Programme or Portfolio Methodologies – minimum Practitioner Level in at least one of Prince2, Agile, MSP, MOP or equivalent.
