Job Title Mental Health Practitioner at Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Location Chester, England. Overview This role is a 24‑hour, 7‑days‑a‑week position within the Children and Young People’s (CYP) Emergency and Urgent care provision. You will be part of our developing CYP Urgent Support Team, contributing to crisis mental health assessment and brief interventions across various settings. Key Responsibilities Comprehensive mental health risk assessment and planning of crisis interventions for CYP. Safeguarding young people and supporting families/carers through face‑to‑face work and via the Trust Wide Crisis Line. Liaising with other services and external agencies to ensure effective care pathways. Participating in induction, internal training, CPD and supervision to develop skills in this area. Qualifications & Experience Professional registration with HCPC, Social Work England or NMC. Clinical knowledge and relevant experience of risk assessment is desirable; not essential. Experience in mental health or social care settings is highly desirable. Working Conditions Coverage across the Cheshire and Wirral Partnership footprint. Access to transport for work purposes is essential. Professional Development Up to three weeks’ induction with our Prepare to Care programme and ongoing CPD and supervision.
