CNC Mill Operator – Aerospace Company
Location: Fareham/Gosport
Salary: Up to £21.71 p/h
Hours: Days, Lates and Earlies

We're looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic manufacturing team. If you thrive in a high-precision, fast-paced environment and are confident working with Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC Mills with Heidenhain control systems.

Interpret and work from complex aerospace engineering drawings and specifications.

Machine components to tight tolerances and superior surface finishes.

Conduct in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometres, verniers, bore gauges).

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and tools.

Accurately complete production and quality documentation.

Follow all health & safety and quality assurance procedures.

Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to meet design and customer requirements.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience operating CNC Mills in aerospace or precision engineering settings.

Confident trouble-shooting and editing directly at the machine.

Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.

Experience with AS9100 quality standards (preferred).

Skilled in using a range of precision measuring equipment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team.

NVQ Level 3 or Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering / CNC Machining (preferred).

Desirable (But Not Essential)

Background in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 5S principles.

Experience operating multi-axis milling centres or live tooling machines.
