Senior Electronics Test Engineer

Reference: ETE-01-12-25 Rega is looking for a senior electronics test engineer. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, be proficient in fault finding down to component level and reworking PCBs to a high standard of accuracy, including single sided and PTH multi‑layer PCBs with through‑hole and surface‑mount components. Responsibilities Functional testing of board level audio products. Ensure the equipment is properly tested, calibrated, and certified according to corresponding test procedures. Experienced at fault find electronics down to the component level to determine cause and remedy any faults. Fault find and repair final assemblies and sub‑assemblies as required. Reworking boards as required to a high standard of accuracy, including single sided and PTH multi‑layer PCBs with through‑hole and surface‑mount components. Provide technical support and training to the electronics test and production team when necessary. Production and maintenance of test procedures are required in conjunction with Design. Ability to read and understand circuit schematics, and understand the functionality of analogue and digital circuits of moderate complexity. Good organisation and time management to ensure jobs are carried out in a timely manner. Ensure that health and safety procedures are followed. Ensure tools are in good usable condition and report any faulty tools and jigs to the correct person. Keep the department clean and tidy. With the Department Supervisor, ensure accurate technical feedback is given to the PCB/Component Team for every batch of PCBs from sub‑contract assemblies. Rega expects over 90% clean PCB assemblies (fault free through our jigs). Likewise, if we feel that an agreement has been broken without explanation then the agreement must be urgently reviewed with the colleague(s) involved. If there is a pattern of broken agreements by individual or team, then this may lead to follow‑up by way of a formal HR process.
