Job description Key Stage 2 Learning Support Assistants – SEN School – Andover Location: Andover Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Salary: £95 – £110 per day We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistants to join a dedicated team at a specialist SEN school in Andover, supporting pupils in Key Stage 2. These are full-time, long-term roles ideal for individuals passionate about inclusive education and making a real difference in children’s lives. Key Responsibilities Provide 1 : 1 and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties Assist in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO Support pupils with emotional regulation, social interaction, and communication development Help implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies Contribute to a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment Assist with personal care and sensory needs where required Requirements Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a Key Stage 2 setting A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential) Benefits Supportive and inclusive school environment Ongoing professional development and training opportunities Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in pupils’ educational and personal development Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business / education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
