Senior Director, Discovery Applied AI/MLJoin GSK as the Senior Director of Discovery Applied AI/ML, building and directing a new applied AI/ML group dedicated to transforming how we discover medicines by embedding state‑of‑the‑art AI/ML directly into our discovery workflows, platforms, and decision‑making.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and lead the applied AI/ML strategy for Discovery, aligned with broader Data, Automation, and Predictive Sciences roadmaps.Build and lead a cross‑functional team of applied ML scientists, ML engineers, and AI product leaders.Drive the rapid translation of emerging AI/ML methods and technologies into robust, deployed solutions.Partner closely with Discovery Data Sciences, R&D teams, and platform owners to embed AI/ML into discovery programs.Set vision, architecture, and road‑map for multi‑year AI/ML impact on technical & regulatory success, cycle shortening, and decision quality.Champion ethical, transparent, and compliant AI/ML, working with Risk & Compliance and regulatory teams.Build culture of collaboration, experimentation, and high‑performance talent development.QualificationsPh.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computational Biology, or related quantitative discipline.12+ years in pharma, biotech, or technology industry, with at least 8 years in leadership of multi‑disciplinary AI/ML or computational science teams.Track record of deploying AI/ML solutions into production with measurable scientific or business impact.Deep expertise in generative models, representation learning, active learning, and multi‑modal integration.Experience building new organizations or significantly reshaping existing ones.Strong communication, stakeholder alignment, and matrixed influence skills.Why JoinBe the builder of the applied AI/ML backbone of discovery, empowered with resources, talent, and executive support to create a next‑generation discovery engine that works hand‑in‑hand with Discovery Data Sciences and the broader R&D ecosystem.BenefitsSee GSK US Benefits Summary to learn more about the comprehensive benefits program GSK offers US employees.Equal Opportunity EmployerGSK is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
