Food Service Assistant

Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Food Service Assistant to join our team working at Baker barracks, Thorney Island, Emsworth. PO10 8DH. You will be performing basic food preparation, preparing sandwiches, and other Grab-and-Go foods. Alongside this, you will also be working front of house, operating the tills, and providing excellent customer service to our customers. To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements:you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks. What we offer: This is a full-time position, 35 hours/week, (1 weekend in 4). Shifts are Early shift 06:30 – 14:00 and Late shift 11:30 – 19:00, leaving your evenings free - a rarity when you work within culinary and hospitality. Hourly rate of £12.21. A day in the life of a Food Service Assistant: You will be preparing Grab-and-Go foods, such as sandwiches, wraps and paninis. You will be cleaning both back and front-of-house, ensuring the unit is clean and tidy before, during, and after service. General front of house duties such as operating the till and cash handling, keeping financial records, providing excellent customer service, and serving customers. Making hot and cold drinks and serving food on the food counters, ensuring you are always adhering to Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations. You will be set up for success if you have: Been resident in the UK for the past 3 years and have a legal right to work in the UK. The ability to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
