About the RoleAs an Teaching Assistant/Autism Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing. You will work closely with class teachers and the multidisciplinary team to ensure that each student receives high-quality, personalised support tailored to their needs.This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about empowering young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a nurturing environment. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport class teachers or tutors to deliver high-quality education for all students.Assist in implementing all relevant education policies and procedures fully and effectively.Provide individual and group support to students, helping them access the curriculum as independently as possible.Promote the physical, educational, and moral development of students in line with company policies.Ensure efficient use, storage, and maintenance of classroom equipment and resources.Organise the classroom environment, including resources, student groupings, and displays, to create a stimulating, ASD-friendly learning space.Collaborate with teachers to write, update, implement, and evaluate individual student documentation, including Behaviour Support Profiles (BSP), Individual Risk Assessments, Individual Education Plans, Communication Profiles, and Pastoral Support Plans.
