Senior Project Engineer Oceaneering – Senior Project Engineer – Offshore Technical Solutions Company Profile Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services and products, primarily to the offshore energy industry. Position Summary The Senior Project Engineer, Offshore Technical Solutions reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for the successful (safe, on time, with high quality and on budget) completion of engineering deliverables in respect to all Offshore Technical Solutions project work. Essential Responsibilities Review and understand client requirements and the engineering scope for a given project. Translate project requirements into an engineering execution plan. Produce technically correct documentation for product design, manufacture, analysis, and design validation tests (reports, calculations, drawings, procedures). Interface with clients as necessary to resolve interface issues and justify Oceaneering’s technical solutions. Support Offshore Technical Solution Group Manager in winning and executing projects. Serve as the technical lead for all projects within the Offshore Technical Solution Team (Type 1 & 2 projects, FEED studies, life extensions, and offshore services & support). Interface and support other functions to enable a successful and on‑time, on‑budget completion of engineering project deliverables. Travel intermittently, globally, including overnight stays as required. Support unplanned activities as necessary. Desired Responsibilities Identify opportunities for improvement of Oceaneering’s products and/or processes. Support the execution of product and process improvement projects. Mentor, coach, and support team members. Participate in HSE awareness programs and safety initiatives. Use all related systems to manage engineering fundamentals and provide meaningful data to business leaders. Support customer satisfaction and loyalty processes. Contribute to excellence in Health and Safety performance, including Stop observations and HSE meetings. Apply Continuous Improvement techniques to eliminate engineering waste. Carry out any other duties/tasks/requests as required. Safety Ensure that safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to, as far as reasonably practicable, to maintain a safe working environment. Other Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems. Perform assigned tasks with due diligence in the Integrated Management Systems. Eliminate waste and propose environmentally friendly substances and practices for continuous improvement. Supervisory Responsibilities This position may have direct supervisory responsibilities. Reporting Relationship Engineering Manager Qualifications – Required Undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline. Extensive experience as a Project Engineer or Proposals Engineer in an engineering organization. Qualifications – Desired Experience in the Oil & Gas or related industry; subsea or offshore engineering experience highly desirable. Lean / Six‑Sigma experience and ability to demonstrate improvement results. Experience in cables, umbilicals, or flexible risers manufacturing environments. Safety – Promotes a strong safety culture. Diversity – Respects ethical policy and promotes diversity. Working Conditions Mostly indoor office work with occasional production area requirements. Exposure to airborne dust in the workplace occasionally. Work surface stable (flat). Physical Activity / Requirements The position is considered light work.
