The Role
We are looking for someone with a good all-round knowledge of commercial audio visual conferencing equipment including Google Meet or Teams Rooms, Crestron control systems, Barco Click Share, QSC audio DSPs, and Shure microphones, as well as a working knowledge of IT systems including Apple Macs.
This is a key support role and a perfect opportunity for the right person to manage their workload and own the on-site first line AV support in a busy and hi-tech environment.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Carrying out regular in-room system checks to ensure the functionality of all rooms and AV facilities are checked daily.
- Producing a rota and maintaining records of room checks and any faults found/rectified.
- Providing AV technical support to users, which may be via telephone, in person by visiting the room, or via email; speed of response time will be important.
- Fault finding, diagnosis, and resolution of problems that may occur with the AV systems.
- Manage regular software patching and updating of AV equipment.
- User support for important meetings, including a "white glove" service for senior leadership as required, involving setting up Teams conference calls and managing presentations in the lecture theatre and larger conference rooms.
- Liaising with FVS technical support at our office on any AV issues that cannot be resolved as part of the first line support checks.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Ideally some past experience in an AV / IT support role within a Corporate or Government environment.
- Technical aptitude and interest in solving AV and IT related issues.
- Confident manner and smart appearance with the ability to interact with customers and colleagues in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
- Knowledge of Google Meet, Teams, or Zoom would be an advantage, but not essential as training can be provided.
- Proactive, can-do, helpful attitude with the ability to plan and manage your own workload and multiple tasks.
- Must be self-motivated, organised, and work in a logical manner with effective time management and attention to detail, and have a good memory.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documents including system schematics.
- Must be eligible to work in the EU.
Working on a Three-month contract 4 days per week Monday-Thursday
Employed by the AV client with all standard benefits the company offers.
