Strategic Account Manager Join Nationwide Platforms as a Strategic Account Manager. This national role offers the flexibility to work from home with regular travel across the UK. Preference is given to candidates based in the North of the UK. Key Responsibilities Manage, retain and grow a portfolio of Strategic Accounts, delivering long‑term, profitable market share growth. Drive revenue from a pre‑agreed portfolio of new business opportunities and achieve associated financial targets. Develop detailed account plans in collaboration with customers, setting specific strategies that address the objectives of both Nationwide Platforms (NWP) and the client. Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and share with NWP Regional & Major Project sales teams, supporting tendering where required. Create bespoke solutions to meet customer requirements and deliver on commitments. Build partnerships with safety‑driven clients, exploring cross‑sell opportunities across all NWP products and services. Continuously deepen knowledge of the construction sector and specific customer needs, using this insight to drive product development in areas such as sustainability, safety and environment. Ensure all customer interactions are logged in the CRM and maintain regular visits to reinforce relationships and secure repeat business. Qualifications, Skills and Experience Proven experience managing Strategic Accounts in the construction industry with a track record of growth and retention. Strong consultative and strategic selling skills, with a history of exceeding sales targets. Commercial acumen and ability to draft compelling proposals and strategies that win profitable business. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities. Results‑driven, responsive, passionate and persistent. Confidence, ambition and willingness to take initiative. IT literacy: Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with CRM systems. Ability to build long‑term relationships with key decision makers and to present operational/service delivery KPIs.
