About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure & Operations Engineer to join our results driven IT team in Aberdeen.
This is a hands-on role within a cross-functional team responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting IT infrastructure across the organisation.
You will manage a range of technologies including servers, networking, storage, telephony, and client hardware, while ensuring security compliance and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, backups, storage, and telephony
* Ensure security compliance through patching, scanning, inventory management, and system hardening
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting across the organisation
* Maintain accurate documentation and configuration records
* Participate in IT projects, continuity planning, and out-of-hours support on a rotational basis
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality IT services.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in an IT-related subject or equivalent professional experience
* Full UK driving licence
* Clearly demonstrable experience in a similar IT infrastructure role.
Strong knowledge of:
* Microsoft Entra
* Windows Server/Desktop
* Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance
* Storage systems
* Microsoft Office
* Systems monitoring platforms
Desirable Skills
* Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS)
* VMware or other virtualisation platforms
* Data networking
* Remote Desktop Services
* InTune, Configuration Manager
* Mitel VOIP
* Exchange Online
* PowerShell scripting
* Application packaging
Personal Attributes
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to prioritise, multitask, and work under pressure
* Analytical mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach
* Team player with the ability to work independently
* Willingness to travel and work outside normal hours when required.
