L2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprentice Join to apply for the L2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprentice role at Farmfoods. Base pay range We are looking to recruit a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprentice for our busy distribution centre in Monkspath, Solihull, B90 4NY. We offer a permanent full-time position working a variety of shifts, 5 days from 7 each week (including at least one weekend day). What does the apprenticeship involve? Working in a fast-paced warehouse and learning how to be a great warehouse operative. Regular pre-arranged visits (every 4 to 6 weeks) from an assessor from our apprenticeship provider. Regular completion of apprenticeship coursework. Completion of functional skills in English and Maths (only if required). Completion of an assessment at the end of your 12 months of training. Pay and working hours Days: 6am - 2pm. Afternoons/ Lates: 12pm - 8pm | 2pm - 10pm. Nights: 8pm - 4am | 10pm - 6am. We offer an hourly pay rate of: £13.17 (£10.48 for those under 21) for DAY shifts. £14.28 (£11.88 for those under 21) for AFTERNOON/LATES/NIGHT shifts. Responsibilities Accurately and quickly pick stock onto pallets. Handle stock with care, checking dates, codes and quality. Work within all health & safety requirements of the site. Use warehouse equipment and manual handling techniques responsibly. Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and organised as part of daily and weekly routines. Work with the rest of your team to meet targets and deadlines. Qualifications To be aged 18 or over to be eligible for this role (due to Health and Safety reasons). To be physically fit as this is a demanding role and you will be expected to achieve productivity targets. A friendly, positive, hardworking approach to work. To enjoy being busy—there is always something to do, from unloading lorries to preparing orders and completing stock checks. To be reliable, as you will be an important part of a small team. Your colleagues depend on you to do your best on each shift. A bit of flexibility when it comes to your shifts. When other members of your team are on holiday, we may need you to work slightly different hours to cover for them. Rota’s are planned three weeks in advance and your commitments outside of work will always be taken into consideration.
