Senior Cyber Security Engineer opportunity working within an established fintech firm in LiverpoolAttractive benefits packageUp to £60,000 per annum depending on experienceFull Time - Permanent role - Hybrid working availableSector: FinanceBenefitsCompetitive Salary - £55,000 - £60,000 per annumGenerous Annual LeavePaid Sick daysCompany PensionA comprehensive in-house trainingContinued training and developmentFriendly and supportive working cultureAbout the Role:Lead on technical cyber security initiatives within the Security Operations teamEnsure the implementation of robust security controls and best practicesProvide specialist security support to IT teams, including infrastructure, development, and database teamsWork with stakeholders to maintain compliance with industry standards such as ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, PCI/DSSStay ahead of cyber threats, maintaining and improving security monitoring and risk management processesSupport vulnerability management, penetration testing, and incident responseRequirements for this role:3+ years' experience in a senior cyber security roleStrong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, NCSC, CIS, MITRE ATT&CK)Hands-on experience with security tools: SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protectionExpertise in Azure security and securing cloud platformsA solid understanding of vulnerabilities, penetration testing, and complianceExperience with network security, encryption, TLS, SSL, and security monitoring toolsMUSThave the Right to work in the UK i.e. British Citizen, ILR status or Settled status - No sponsorships offered / PSW visas are not considered for this rolePrevious experience in a regulated industry (financial services, insurance) - DesirableCertifications such as Azure Security, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, CEH - DesirableExperience securing Linux, Mac, containerised applications (e.g., Kubernetes) - DesirableFamiliarity with Zero Trust, ITIL, and security governance frameworks - DesirableTo be consideredPlease apply by clicking online or emailing me directly at .
