You will be working for one of the UK’s leading health care providers. A residential care home in North East London provides specialist care for the frail elderly and those suffering with dementia. To be considered for this position you must hold an NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care. Key Responsibilities Manage risks (e.g. mobility, behaviour, hygiene) for service users to ensure they are supported. Ensure care staff provide assistance to the service user group in a timely manner. Manage the medication process so service users’ medicines are received, administered, recorded and returned correctly. Organise service user access to healthcare services and ensure ongoing support. Ensure care staff have the confidence and skills needed through mentoring. Assess service users’ needs and respond to any change so they receive personalised care. Update care plans to reflect the care and support given. Promote an open and positive culture reflecting the opinions of the service users living at the home. Preferred Skills and Experience Be dynamic and enthusiastic. Possess strong leadership skills and work well as part of a team. Have good communication skills and be capable of operating software platforms used to manage staff, service users and medication. Have a proven track record in residential home management as a manager or deputy manager. Possess elderly/dementia experience. A sound knowledge of the CQC and applicable legislation/standards. The successful Home Manager will receive an excellent salary of GBP42,000 per annum. Benefits Annual performance bonus. CQC Good and Outstanding inspection rating bonus.
