One of our flagship contracts is with the Ministry of Defence at a major base near Watford – a complex, high-profile environment where we provide a full range of hard, soft, and technical FM services.

Within our Hard Services team we’re looking for a static (single site) Electrical Testing Supervisor. Working onsite fulltime the primary function is the planning, co-ordination and supervision of staff and contractors, undertaking the site Fixed Wire Testing (FWT) programme and all related electrical PPM tasks. Provide AP(Electrical) support to the site electrical infrastructure, and assist with M&E asset capture, verification and condition assessment.

What you'll do:

Electrical maintenance including Fixed Wire Testing

* Plan, co-ordinate and negotiate access to deliver the site wide comprehensive fixed wire testing (FWT) programme.

* Prepare and issue Client disruption notices (DNs).

* Responsible for supervision and co-ordination of staff and contractors undertaking FWT in accordance with the Skanska polices on Statutory and Technical Compliance.

* Plan, co-ordinate and negotiate access to deliver PPM tasks across the site in accordance with the annual maintenance programme.

* Review FWT reports arising from PPM, statutory and technical inspections.

AP (Electrical) duties

* Carry out Authorised Persons and/or Skilled Persons duties as required for the engineering services on site.

* Participate in the site on-call out of hours rota as and when required and directed by Line Manager

* Ensure that all tasks and works that require a permit to work are planned and coordinated with all parties

M&E asset capture, verification and condition assessment

* Identify assets, plant and equipment that require lifecycle replacement and forward details to the Lifecycle team.

* Assist with completing the self-audit of the site assets for capture, verification and condition assessment.

* Assist with regular reviews of the PPM 12-month plan and update/amend as necessary tasks and frequencies to reflect any changes in the site assets.

What you'll bring to the role:

* Experience in a similar role and particularly the delivery of Fixed Wire Testing (FWT) in accordance with the IET Electrical Regulations.

* Hold the relevant qualifications for inspection and testing of electrical systems (C&G 2391-52 or 2394/2395 or suitable time served experience).

* Hold a C&G 2365 (Level 3) or equivalent.

* Must be capable of fully satisfying the Client security clearance minimum requirements for DV level.

This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil these residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and would not be eligible to undertake this role
