The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Building Services Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team delivering essential engineering support for nuclear facilities. This is a hybrid role based in Glasgow, combining remote work with site visits, offering the chance to work on projects that truly matter.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
* Develop, review, and maintain design substantiation documents for building services systems.
* Manage and assess design changes, concessions, and technical justifications.
* Prepare and present engineering substantiations to safety committees and stakeholders.
* Produce and update maintenance schedules and operating procedures to meet safety and design requirements.
* Provide technical advice and peer reviews for reports and calculations within a high-hazard environment.
You will have the following qualifications and experience
* Proven experience in HVAC design and associated building services systems.
* Strong understanding of psychrometric processes and their impact on environmental control.
* Knowledge of UK legislation, standards, and industry guidance such as CIBSE and ASHRAE.
* Ability to produce clear, robust technical reports and justifications for design modifications.
* Minimum HNC in a relevant discipline, with Incorporated Engineer status or equivalent experience.
