OverviewMechanical Test Engineer role at TÜV SÜD. Join to apply for this position as part of a team of environmental test specialists delivering a comprehensive environmental testing service across a wide range of industry sectors.ResponsibilitiesConduct mechanical and climatic testing to relevant test standards, regulatory requirements, and defined test plans.Work closely with customers during attended testing.Record test results using various electronic logbook systems and produce test reports following company quality procedures.Liaise with customers regarding the specification and conduct of tests and interpretation of results.Closely liaise with the test supervisor to ensure work is carried out accurately and within the timescales allowed.Help develop and refine test plans with the customer.Assist in the development of test methods and other departmental documentation.Work with the team to implement continuous improvement activities and develop procedures and processes to improve the efficiency of the testing service.QualificationsEssential requirements: Experience in a laboratory environment.Highly desirable requirements: Practical experience delivering mechanical and climatic test services, and operating shaker equipment; previous experience in a test house environment; knowledge of test laboratory quality and operating procedures.Desirable requirements: An interest in working in a test environment; motivated and enthusiastic with a willingness to learn; flexible approach to work, willing to work overtime, ad hoc shifts or on customer sites as required.Skills: Good numerical, logical, organisational and analytical skills; good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to work independently or as part of a team to deadlines; strong interpersonal and communication skills and commitment to delivering the best customer experience.Job DetailsSeniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and EngineeringIndustries: Manufacturing, Computers and Electronics Manufacturing, and Food and Beverage Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
