Clinical Specialist Team Lead Dietitian – Paediatric, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit 12‑month fixed‑term contract (secondment option available). Job Summary We’re looking for a Lead Dietitian to join our Paediatric team and support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Main Duties Independently manage a caseload of neonatal patients on the Level 3 Surgical NICU, providing expert nutritional assessment, advice, and support. Develop and review complex patient plans, balancing nutrition with complex NICU care needs. Attend regional meetings and contribute to regional data collection. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to service development, and act as a role model for our PRIDE values (People‑focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, Excellence). Typical Responsibilities Adjusting nutritional care plans in response to changing clinical needs, including surgical. Prioritising workload to balance direct patient care, MDT meetings, and service improvement projects. Communicating effectively within the MDT to advocate for best care for complex, vulnerable patients. Person Specification – Essential Qualifications: BSc Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent; current HCPC registration in Dietetics. Experience: Extensive experience in Clinical Dietetics, with significant time in a specialist area, ideally neonatal. Skills: Excellent time‑management and prioritisation; ability to provide leadership within clinical speciality.
