Base pay range Part-Qualified Accountant Runcorn, Cheshire | High-Growth SME | Full time, Permanent If you’re part-way through your qualification and itching for a role where you’re not boxed into one tiny corner of finance, this could be the one. We’re working with a fast-growing manufacturing SME with big ambitions — and a finance team that sits right at the heart of everything the company does. This role gives you hands‑on ownership of core accounting processes and exposure to the whole business, from senior management to operational teams. You’ll get to see how all the moving parts connect, not just your month‑end pages. And you won’t be left guessing. The current postholder isn’t disappearing — they’re staying in the business, giving you a proper handover and ongoing support so you can hit your stride confidently rather than being thrown in at the deep end. What you’ll be doing: Playing a key part in day-to-day financial management — journals, prepayments, accruals, reconciliations Supporting month-end reporting, analysis and performance insight Helping develop better dashboards and reporting tools for senior leadership Owning AP/AR processes and keeping the numbers clean and accurate Maintaining the fixed asset register and supporting audit prep Getting involved in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis Working on process improvements and system enhancements within Sage X3 Partnering with non-finance colleagues to build financial awareness across the business Jumping into ad-hoc projects that come with growth — integrations, upgrades, change programmes What we’re looking for: Someone actively studying ACCA / CIMA / ACA, with 2 years’ experience under their belt, who wants a role where they can learn, develop and genuinely influence how finance works in a scaling business. You’ll be detail-driven, collaborative and ambitious. Communication is massive, here — you must be confident in talking to people at all levels. It’s vital that the experience you’ve gained already is in a fast moving environment. A manufacturing SME would be perfect, but an SME is essential.
