Main duties of the job Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care for patients in acute and locked rehabilitation settings. Lead clinical care for up to 16 beds on Rowan 2. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide person‑centred care. Build therapeutic relationships with patients and carers. Supervise and appraise junior medical staff, ensuring GMC standards and compliance. Participate in service planning, business development and quality improvement initiatives. Engage in annual appraisal, job planning and CPD activities. Maintain professional registration, Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status. Person Specification Essential MB BS or equivalent medical qualification. MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Desirable Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management. Additional clinical qualifications. Eligibility Essential Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment. Included on the GMC Specialist Register, or within six months. Approved clinician status or able to achieve within three months of appointment. Approved under S12 or able to achieve within three months of appointment. Desirable In good standing with the GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.
