Assembler Rework II Pay Rate/Range: $21.00 to $22.00 Hours: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM with OT as needed Location: Irvine, CA Duration: 1 year Primary Responsibilities Perform manufacturing tasks in accordance with approved documentation, engineering orders, and allocated time. Carry out complex work and rework at both unit and component levels. Select and implement appropriate methods, tools, and procedures to complete assigned tasks. Support machine operations using conventional and/or digital machine tools. Inspect own work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. Provide hands‑on support and guidance to operators as needed. Initiate and manage continuous improvement actions for assigned work areas. Perform final inspection duties when requested based on drawings, engineering orders, and regulatory requirements. In-Process Quality Control Perform delegated quality control inspections at key stages of the manufacturing process. Review root cause analyses and propose initial Quality Notification (QN) corrective actions. Inspect components, assemblies, and test setups in accordance with design drawings or test procedures. Confirm that all QN transactions, tasks, and related documentation are fully completed and signed. Raise Non-Conformances (NCs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs) for non‑conforming products or processes. Work with RMA Team Leaders and operators to resolve quality-related issues. Documentation & Reporting Update production reports, whiteboards, dashboards, and escalation logs. Review and report discrepancies in manufacturing process documentation to Production Team Leaders. Ensure build standards and required documentation are maintained and properly completed. Prepare, distribute, and track quality reports, charts, and documentation as needed. Liaise with internal and external customers to support product release activities. Key Competencies Perform complex technical work with a high level of independence. Identify issues related to methods, tools, or processes and elevate concerns to management. Achieve objectives that directly impact mid‑ and long‑term production performance. Communicate procedures, practices, and technical information to others within the production environment. Education High School Diploma or Technical School graduate required. Experience Requirements 4+ years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Minimum of 3 years experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control department. Experience conducting process and/or quality system audits. 1+ year of experience with electronic sub-assemblies or system integration. Prior experience reading 2D technical drawings for inspection reporting. 3 years of experience using mechanical inspection tools (calipers, rulers, scales, etc.). Skills & Abilities Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude. Ability to read, interpret, and follow written manufacturing process instructions in English. Ability to lift 15–30 lbs as needed. Knowledge of process audits, documentation control, and corrective action procedures. Good communication and teamwork skills.
