About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fabricated Welder to join our team in Stourbridge. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with heavy steel fabrication and will specialise in the production and repair of tankers. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional looking for a long-term role with the potential to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate and weld heavy steel components to precise specifications.
Work on tanker bodies and associated parts, ensuring structural integrity and quality.
Interpret technical drawings and welding symbols accurately.
Operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
Perform quality checks and maintain high standards throughout the fabrication process.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Fabricated Welder, particularly with heavy steel.
Previous experience working on tankers is highly desirable.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Skilled in MIG/TIG welding and other relevant techniques.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
