An exciting opportunity has arisen on Shakespeare inpatient ward at the Harbour, for the role of Health and Wellbeing worker. This role is perfect for outgoing, highly motivated and creative individuals, who want to enhance service users inpatient experience through activity. Responsibilities Work with a degree of autonomy, under the guidance of the occupational therapy team and ward leadership, to deliver high‑quality activities that meet the needs of service users. Provide healthy lifestyle interventions with service users and lead on delivering high‑quality meaningful activities. Be a role model to peers, building relationships with service users during challenging times, and model positive engagement on the ward to alleviate boredom. Participate in ward meetings, contribute to ward governance meetings, and document activities on electronic records. Work the required schedule: weekdays 08:00–20:00, including weekends on a shift pattern, with 7‑day activity provision. Qualifications and Requirements Interests in fitness and knowledge around healthy lifestyles. Willingness to role model towards peers and positive engagement in the clinical environment. Creative streak and motivation to develop engaging activities. Capable of working independently with guidance from senior staff. Availability to work full‑time, with no part‑time hours available. About the Trust Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care. The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well‑being services in the community alongside partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area. Flexible working is encouraged.
