The successful applicant will be a degree educated Electrical Engineer who has a solid understanding of project management techniques, risk assessment, and safety study methods.Role: Electrical Engineer (Projects)Location: Port Talbot SA13 2NGShifts: Mon-Fri, 36.5 hours per week, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:45Salary: Competitive and based upon experienceStart: ASAP but pending the result of a medical assessment (which does include a drug and alcohol test)Responsibilities:Delivering complex engineering projectsWorking on projects to help deliver world class efficiency, safety and sustainability of operationsSupporting on major capital projectsPlanning, designing and executing electrical work from concept to commissioningCollaborating with internal and external teams to deliver technical solutionsCoordinating with cross functional teams to ensure project objects are metEnsuring any designs comply with industry standards, codes and regulationsOverseeing installation and commissioning of electrical systems and equipmentWorking as part of a team that is driving engineering excellence, you'll collaborate with a range of diverse stakeholdersCreate project plans and proposals that will support and improve our business.Drafting technical specifications and requests for quotations from OEMs and contractor partners.Essential requirements:Degree educated in Electrical Engineering3+ years industry experience (Heavy industry/Manufacturing and/or large scale engineering environments)The ability to project manage and lead a team with proven experience of thisFamiliarity with the construction (design and management) regulations (CDM)Sound understanding of UK health and Safety legislation including risk assessmentsStrong verbal and written communication skillBenefits:35 days holidays per annumAnnual Pay ReviewQuarterly Bonus Scheme - subject to business performanceOne of the UK's leading defined contribution pension schemes (10% employer contribution / 6% employee contribution)Employee Assistance Programme for financial, mental and physical supportEmployee discount scheme including discounts with Vodafone and Jaguar Land RoverOpportunity for progression into senior positionsAbility to learn, grow and develop with additional training and funded coursesTo be part of something extraordinary apply today and a member of the team will be in contact if you meet our requirements.All applicants are subject to vetting checks including: Right to work check, medical check and reference check.Randstad Business Support is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy. #J-18808-Ljbffr
