Senior Backend & Frontend Engineer Location: Brighton, England, United Kingdom. We are The Flex, building the automation engine powering the next generation of intelligent operations. Base360.ai is an automation platform that connects data, orchestrates workflows, and operates real‑world systems at global scale. We transform fragmented processes into clean, automated pipelines that move businesses faster, with less work, fewer errors, and smarter decision‑making. As a senior engineer at Base360, you’ll work across backend services, frontend interfaces, and cloud infrastructure to build the core platform that powers real‑time automation. You’ll design systems that handle millions of events, integrate with third‑party services, manage high‑volume data flows, and deliver intuitive user experiences. Your work will define how businesses automate, operate, and scale. Your Mission Architect Core Services – Design and build APIs, data pipelines, and backend services that form the foundation of Base360.ai. Build Automation at Scale – Develop microservices and event‑driven workflows that orchestrate real‑world processes across industries and platforms. Own the Frontend Experience – Create fast, clean, and intuitive interfaces that allow teams to control automations, monitor systems, and gain insights in real time. Engineer for Reliability – Design systems that are fault‑tolerant, observable, and able to withstand high‑throughput, multi‑region workloads. Integrate the Ecosystem – Connect Base360.ai to services like Stripe, Twilio, Airbnb, Hostaway, and other mission‑critical APIs to create a unified automation layer. Lead With Impact – Drive technical decisions, mentor other engineers, and help define engineering standards and long‑term architecture. You’re a Great Fit If You Have Strong experience with Node.js / TypeScript, Python (FastAPI), or equivalent backend frameworks. Solid expertise in React or another modern frontend framework. Deep familiarity with AWS, especially serverless (Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, SQS). Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event‑driven architecture. Experience building scalable, production‑grade APIs and real‑time systems. A passion for automation, intelligent workflows, and simplifying complex processes.
